Introducing BUS111 students to blogging

Today we are going to cover the basics of blogging. Everyone will create blog accounts and post at least three times this week. Remember an active blog would have at least two posts a week.
Obviously this is not an active blog, but a class example. Let's get started!!

  4. I am enjoying blogging and sharing more information with people. This has been my favorite form of social media so far. It seems more informational and useful when people are able to post more. It is more convenient than always clicking links in Twitter or Facebook! Thanks for the introduction to blogging!

  9. I wasn't sure how I felt about blogging when we were assigned to do it for class! For some reason I thought that blogs were going away, at least the personal ones, but I am feeling wrong in that thought! I can see now how many "websites" I go to are actually blogs, but that they just look like really nice web pages! I use Pinterest a lot and many of the sites linked to Pinterest are blogs! They really are a great source of information, especially from a personal perspective, because many of the bloggers are really into that certain topic and have a lot of knowledge on it.

  10. This class has opened my eyes to more social media networks other than facebook and twitter. I am not sure how I feel about blogging, but its something that could be useful in the future!

  12. I read that a good blog post is between 400-1000 words. You do not want to make it to long so your readers get bored. Also the title of your blog post is the main factor. Make it unique so people become more interested.

    21%=Decide on purchase
    19%=Refine a choice
    19%=Get support/answers
    17%=Discover product/service
    13%=Inspire a purchase

    It really is a good idea for businesses to get blogging!

  19. Using blogger this past week, has definitely been interesting! I feel like I will probably still continue to use it in the future...however probably not as much! I feel like people don't need to listen to be babble everyday about what I did!

  23. Before this class I have never looked at a blogg and kind of looked down on them. After exploring fellow classmates blogs and other categories of blogs I realized that blogging is a useful and even fun form of social media.

  24. I use to never like blogs before taking this class and did not see the importance of them. However, I know realize how useful and beneficial they can be to organizations. I also enjoyed reading other individuals blog posts in this class and learning about my classmates.
